# Charging the Future: technical training and international collaboration in Italy

From 21 to 24 September, teachers Marc Huguet and Albert Panadés took part in a newtransnational meeting of the KA2 Charging the Future project, hosted by the Italian partnerFondazione Opera Montegrappa in Fonte Alto, in the Veneto region.

The meeting brought together the project partners for several days of technical training, professional exchange and collaboration, with a particular focus on the latest developments inelectric and high-performance vehicles.

Discovering the latest automotive technologies

One of the highlights of the programme was a visit to the facilities of TEXA, where participantshad the opportunity to explore the company's laboratories and assembly lines.

TEXA is a leading company in the development and manufacture of vehicle diagnostic andtesting equipment, as well as advanced electronic components. Its technology is also used inhigh-performance vehicles from manufacturers such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.

The visit was complemented by a technical training session on electric commercial vehicles andbuses. This provided participants with first-hand insight into the latest developments inelectronic diagnostics, high-voltage systems and components used in modern electric andhigh-performance vehicles.

Practical training with Renault Trucks AcademyThe programme continued with a visit to Mazzarolo Officine, where participants took part in apractical training session delivered by Renault Trucks Academy. The session focused on real-world procedures for vehicle inspection and fault diagnosis, together with the safety protocols required when working on high-voltage systems in electriccommercial vehicles.

This practical approach allowed the participants to gain a better understanding of theprocedures and technologies currently being implemented in professional workshops, strengthening the connection between technical training and the rapidly evolving automotiveindustry.

Bringing new knowledge back to the classroom

Participation in the Charging the Future project provides a valuable opportunity for ourteaching staff to update their technical knowledge and establish direct links with companiesand training institutions across Europe.

The experience will have a direct impact on our centre, allowing us to bring up-to-dateknowledge of electric vehicle technology, power electronics and advanced diagnostic systemsinto the classroom and workshop.

At the same time, the project strengthens the international collaboration established throughthe Netinvet network, creating new opportunities for future cooperation and mobilityprogrammes involving both students and teaching staff.

For our centre, initiatives such as Charging the Future are an excellent way of ensuring thatvocational education remains closely connected to technological innovation, industry needsand the skills required by the automotive professionals of the future.
